February 2019 Work Day Recap

Evidently sewing with friends is one of the favorite options for beating the winter blues.  It was a bitterly cold weekend but it was warm and inviting in Room 214!

Not only did we have a great turnout (20 quilters), we were blessed with a visit from our old friend, Momma D.  And we met a new quilter friend, Terry.  Entertainment also provided by our young friend, Gavin.

We turned in 20 finished quilts to Mission to deliver to LSI and YESS.  You will see several of our special focus sewing days.  You'll see several strip quilts (yes, we've cleaned out our stash), some warm and snuggly flannel quilts that will keep some child warm and feeling loved.  And then there is this one:

This is the quilt made from several of the pink/red blocks we made in February last year.  Just awaiting a big floral border and some little girl is going to be so happy to get this. Beauty comes out of our teamwork when we are faithful to the gifts God has granted us, both talents and supplies.

Special Focus:  Flannel

Special Focus:  Strips
